This book has really helped me eat better and lose weight.
I have struggled with IBS (irritable bowel syndrom) and stomach aches for most of my life. I have always felt bloated and tired after consuming wheat. I usually get stomach aches from dairy. Yes, we might say that I’m lactose intolerant and have a wheat allergy, but this book explained to me that these symptoms make perfect sense for someone with Type O blood. Type O, the “oldest” blood type, should not consume wheat or dairy. Wow. Type O’s were the hunters and gatherers who ate meat. This is not something that vegetarians want to hear.
For Type A’s, however, wheat isn’t much of a problem. According to D’Adamo, A is for Agrarian, the blood type that developed after populations increased on the planet and there wasn’t enough meat to go around, so people settled and created farms. One of my type A friends was amazed when I told her about that. She said, yes, for me, I feel bloated and tired if I eat meat. Things like cereal or bread are fine for me.
This book describes the evolution of blood type. It contains specific meal plans and lists of foods for each type that are beneficial, neutral or should be avoided. I highly recommend this book to anyone who struggles with food, nutrition, weight loss and diabetes.

So ironic, I was discussing this with co-workers just yesterday. I’d love to learn more about it.

I have currently been on the diet about a year now. I started out phasing out the avoids and adding more bene’s. I have lost 85 lbs. and feel the best I have in my life! I have two friends hard at it right now and more looking into it. It’s really life changing.
