The Vegetarian Times newsletter just appeared in my inbox with a reminder that citrus is in season and it’s probably the only item in the supermarket that hasn’t been flown in from far far away (and lost most of it’s zip, zest, and freshness) or hydroponically produced in a greenhouse.
So go for yummy yellow and orange citrus items to get the freshest seasonal food for the most reasonable price.
