A McDonalds in Hacienda Heights, CA has gotten an unlikely makeover. The company recently hired a consultant to redesign the fast-food restaurant using the ancient Chinese principles of feng shui. This McDonalds hopes to bring a sense of calm, happiness, and fortune to its patrons, encouraging them to stay longer and return more often.
Some fun feng shui features at this revamped McDonalds include: textured walls pattered after ocean waves to symbolize relaxation, red accents symbolizing luck, and metal sculptures of fish symbolizing prosperity.
An Enlightened McDonalds? Maybe this awareness of wellness means further enhancements for their menu too….

This is so funny. Are they trying to attract a healthier clientele? If so I think they’d do better to take your advice Kristen! lol It’s nice anyway. Uplifting atmosphere is always a good thing in my book.

Wow…that’s really something! Thanks for alerting me to this; I had no idea (and am often surprised at how savvy McD’s has become in their new strategic marketing ploys).
