A Balinese energy healer told me about how to improve digestion on a regular basis. She advised me to drink 3 glasses of warm water right after I wake up. The temperature (warm) is key because it soothes and relaxes all the organs of digestion as it works its way down. And water is definitely the mildest, least invasive way to flush and hydrate to aid in elimination of accumulated toxins and debris in the digestive tract.
So if you’re up for trying one new thing this week, go for several soothing warm mugs of water each morning as soon as you wake up and notice how you feel by the end of the week. Feel free to enhance with a little tummy rub and time to say thank you to your body for all the miraculous functions (like digestion) that we often take for granted.
Mmmmm, this does a body good!

Adding a little fresh squeezed lemon juice to your warm mug of water helps alkaline the body, which also aids in digestion!
You can add a little organic honey if the lemon is too tart for your taste.
I drink a warm mug of “lemon water” almost every morning, especially if I have a cold.
