Au Natural: Make Your Own Soy Candles

Wellness on Wednesday is all about the natural you!

Wanna be eco-friendly, set the mood, and appease your creative side? Try making your own soy candles. Soy wax is all-natural and won’t pollute the environment when you burn it. Here is a simple recipe courtesy of Soya.

Materials Needed
1 pound of soy wax
1 mason jar
1 ounce of fragrance oil
wax dye (optional)
1 cotton wick
(All the materials can be purchased on the Internet or at your local craft store.)

Instructions
1. Put the wax in a pan and slowly heat on medium until the wax is completely melted.
2. Remove from heat and. Add fragrance oil and stir until absorbed.
3. Add wax dye if you please.
4. Pour the wax into the mason jar and position wick in the center.
5. Trim the wick once the wax has hardened.
