SO Cute For Summer

My head is already in summer mode!  I’ve got my linen pants, bermuda shorts and bikini tops all laid out … I just hope Mother Nature is on the same page as me!  Anyhow, as we are certainly heading in that direction, I’ve come across some adorable pieces from Old Navy that I wanted to share.  Summer wardrobes definitely do not need to break the bank, and these pieces prove it!

I LOVE this cami!  I will wear it as a cover-up at the beach or pair it with shorts when heading to a BBQ or a ballgame!  It’s ONLY $12.50 and comes in a variety of colors!

How cute are these sandals?  They are uber-hip in patent and come in blue, yellow, red, and black.

Another yummy cover-up.  I could see myself living in this this summer, thank god it comes in many colors!  $14.50

Summer Lovin’

 swim-suit-shopping-jcrew2.jpg  Shop J. Crew’s Swimfinder 07′

Summer is just around the corner which means it’s time to start thinking about bathing suit season (sigh).  I know most of us dread the swim suit shopping trip … last season I learned that the dreaded shopping trip doesn’t have to be a trip at all - shopping online for your swimwear is super easy, a lot less painful, and dare I say - actually kinda fun!

My go-to-guide is J. Crew.com  when it comes to bathing suit shopping.  Their swimfinder makes it easy and fun!  It is so much better to try on swimwear in the comfort of your home and in front of a real mirror that doesn’t lie!  You can shop by style, body type, and special sizes as well as mix & match tops and bottoms.  They also have a fantastic lookbook to inspire stylish summer looks.

J. Crew has a very generous return policy making the experience that much better!  You have 60 days to return unworn, unwashed, or defective merchandise for full refund with original receipt.  Monogrammed or personalized items may not be returned!

Here are some of the looks you can find on J. Crew.com’s swimfinder:

The Gap Goes Designer

gap2.jpg  Fashion’s next big names, Doo.Ri, Rodarte, and Thakoon are giving The Gap’s classic white shirt and dresses a make-over.  The limited-edition pieces hit Gap stores and Gap.com today.  The collection was created as a partnership with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and Vogue Fashion Fund to introduce these up-and-comers to mainstream shoppers.  The collection ranges between $68 & $88.  The Gap seems the be following trend stared by Target (Issac Mizrahi, Luella, Paul & Joe, Proenza Schouler), and trailed by H&M (Stella McCarteny, Victor & Rolf, Madonna), Topshop (Kate Moss) … by adding famous names to affordable, mainstream retailers.

Make sure to check out GlamChic to get the scoop on the exclusive A-list launch party in NYC

Prada On My Mind

prada-headband-2.jpg  prada-headbans.jpg  prada-3.jpg Ok.  These turbans are kinda growing on me.  Maybe it’s just today as this morning my hair was not cooperating with me which made me think of the silk Prada turbans.  Now, I wouldn’t go as far as sporting the complete turban look, but the headbands are great for stylishly throwing your hair back.  Well it’s worth a try …. Intuition has a version that is identical Prada’s lovely $300 head-piece .  You can choose between the black satin version or a more casual jersey cotton available in multiple colors .

The Latest Celebrity Must-Have Bag

 eva-longoria.jpg kristin-cavallari.jpg vanessa-minillo.jpg

Eva Longoria, Kristin Cavalleri, and Vanessa Minnillo have already picked up a must-have ‘Market Bag’

Yet another fantastic insider find thanks to the amazing crew over at Intuition in Los Angeles!  They have teamed up with International Rescue Committee (IRC) to help support education for war-affected children through this new must-have Market Bag.  The bags were created by Intuition founder Jaye Hersh and were clearly designed to make a difference.  When asked about the line of bags and the IRC she said, “I created my own company, Intuition, as a way to pay for my own children’s education - the money went ‘into-tuition’ - and now I want to help other children in need,” said Hersh, adding that these new plastic totes were inspired by the bags she once used to sell merchandise from the back of her car.

These Market Bags come in four different styles with the option of being monogrammed.  The interior is lined with a lightweight canvas, and each bag comes with a coin purse or luggage tag and plenty of pockets.  They make for a great book bag, shopper tote, or beach bag.

Market Bags can be purchased exclusively through www.shopintuition.com.  Retail prices range from $85-$100.  For each bag sold, Intuition will donate $35 to the IRC.  The ultimate goal of this awesome collaboration is to raise $175,00 for the IRC’s education programs around the world.

These bags are adorable, affordable, and support an amazing cause.  They also make great gifts!  Choose from one of these cute styles:

Facts:

Intuition was chosen by Time magazine as the best online shopping site in 2006.

Founded in 1933, the International Rescue Committee is a global leader in emergency relief, rehabilitation, protection of human rights, post-conflict development, resettlement services and advocacy for those uprooted or affected by conflict and oppression.
