If you are anything like me, you loved 1965 cult-classic “Get Smart” with the crime fighting dynamic duo Maxwell Smart (Don Adams) and Agent 99 (Barbara Feldman) whose mission was to thwart evil do’ers trying to take over the world!! (MUAAHHAHAAH) If so, then you must be ecstatic to know that this summer the delightful tv show is making its way to the big screen…with a modern twist!
The one thing I am looking forward to (besides the comedic relief of Steve Carell) is the fashion!!! Anne Hathaway WOWed us in “The Devil Wears Prada” and she’s doing it again as Agent 99 the levelheaded, daring, and the oh so sophisticated sidekick whose casual-chic appearance is versatile easily taking her all over the world as a top international spy.
My wardrobe has been waiting for an upgrade and what a better boost than to stock it with a modern take on a 1960’s feel. Get these fabulous finds so that your style can become useful in many undercover operations…

I want nothing more than to get away this summer. Backpacking through Europe, snorkeling in the Caribbean, or zebra spotting on a Safari in Africa. The excitement of going on a safari and mingling with the monkeys, laying around with the lions, and elevating with the elephants (corny I know!) is just too exiting just thinking about! Unfortunately, if you’re like me, you just don’t have the finances to fund your fantastic fun-filled-adventure. So what’s the next best thing?!? Bring all those elements into your wardrobe!! Giraffe prints, chic floppy hats, oversize sunglasses, faux croc detailing, and shoes that are so hot, the Sahara dessert can’t beat em’. Check out these finds!

Remember when you were young and had a wild and vivid imagination…everything was whimsical, extravagant, crazy, and anything but impossible.
And now that you are an adult with responsibilities, headaches, and heartaches, you forget those innocent days. But now that spring is in full bloom take a day for yourself and retreat to your backyard, your own secret garden. While sipping lemonade and reading your favorite Jane Austen book (or whatever book catches your fancy) you gaze up, the sun lightly kisses your skin as the beams peak through the tall bamboo shading you from the outside world. The butterflies and hummingbirds fill your intimate garden space with a burst of color. The waterfall (you put in last summer) makes a subtle bubbling sound as the water flows ever so gently into the serene koy pond (you put in before the waterfall) in one corner of your peaceful sanctuary.
All these blissful elements don’t have to be exclusive to the backyard, you can also incorporate them into your wardrobe. By mixing and matching color, prints, and solid neutrals, your fantasy garden will no longer be a secret. Check out these picks!

“Peace cannot be achieved through violence; it can only be attained through understanding.” Following in the famous words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, THE SAK has partnered with Seeds of Peace, whose mission is to develop and empower young leaders from regions of conflict to work towards peace through coexistence and conflict resolution. In celebration of this partnership, THE SAK has created a line of fashionable leather bags called the Peace Bag Collection, with 100% of the proceeds going to Seeds of Peace. Macy’s is the exclusive retailer for this collection.

The Peace Bag Collection includes a satchel and shopper in supple, pebble leather. Features of the bags include braided leather straps, peace signs on the rivets and zipper pulls, wrapped leather peace signs on the bag’s sides, and dangling silver doves and peace signs. Also, the specialized hangtags attached to each bag will outline details of the partnership. Colors of the bags include black, butterscotch, and white; retail prices range from $199 to $239.

I have always been a Courtney Cox-Arquette fan and have always wondered about that skincare line, Kinerase, that she is the spokes person for. The other day one of my co-workers (thanks Lilan!) was handing out some samples of the Kinerase Ultimate Day Moisturizer, so I was able to give it a try - I used it for 3 days in a row after cleansing my face in the morning and I am in love with it! I really noticed that my skin immediately felt smoother and that my skin looked more evened out too. Check what Hello Dollface has to say about the Kinerase line as well.
I absolutely suggest trying it for yourself … and, you’re in luck! Just e-mail your first and last name and address to: KineraseSample@glam.com and you can too receive some samples of your own!

*note: if you do opt-in for free samples, you agree to receive future e-mails from Kinerase

Ruhtenberg Handbags is a line I recently discovered through a friend and am totally impressed and blown away with at the amazing quality and detail put into each piece. The designer, Tyler Lewis, was literally born a designer - growing up in Colorado she would dream up her own dresses which in turn her mother would then make for her out of silks the family collected from their travels - prety cool!
Each bag comes with some type of custom hardware such as Greek coin rivets and feather-shaped zippers. Inside the bags are lined with vibrant colored 100% vintage French silk. Crafted out of sumptuous leathers that only get better with age, the clutches and carryalls are all handmade in Monterey, Ca.
These bags are beautiful! You can find them online at VonRuhtenberg.com

The Alexander $810

The Cornelius (Faux Croc) $165

The Messenger $260

The Paperboy $180

Inspired by Jimi Hendrix’s unique personal style and flair, designer Gina Alexander has revamped teh exclusive collection of Jimi Hendrix Handbags. The Jimi Photo bags, which feature rarely seen images of the rock legend in the 1960’s, come in a variety of shapes, sizes, psychedelic prints and colors.
The Hendrix Collection is the product of the collaboration between creative designer Gina Alexander, renowned photographer Robert M. Knight (who captured these rare photos of Hendrix at Winterland 1968), and Janie Hendrix, Jimi’s sister and executor of his estate.
Here are a few pieces from the collection, I personally love the purple coin purse! You can view the entire collection at ginaalexander.com
