Cartier Celebrates 2nd Annual LOVEDAY June 8th with new celebrity ambassadors!

The New Celebrity Ambassadors include: Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, Djimon Hounsou, Eva Mendes, Julianne Moore, Rihanna, Usher, Rachel Weisz, and Elie Wiesel

Since the Cartier LOVE bracelet was introduced more than 30 years ago, it has become one of the most coveted jewelry designs in the world and the ultimate symbol of love. Last year, Cartier donated more than $1.2 million to eight global charities from the sales of its LOVECHARITY bracelet, and due to the enormous success, this year Cartier will celebrate LOVEDAY with a new LOVECHARITY bracelet. The company aims to exceed last year’s donations as a number of new celebrities join the endeavor.
The new LOVECHARITY bracelet features an 18K white gold miniature LOVE bracelet graced with the word LOVE and accented with two signature screw motifs. It is set into a knotted silk cord available in various colors, with each cord designating support of a unique cause. The LOVECHARITY bracelet is available for $475 with $100 per bracelet benefiting its corresponding charity. On LOVEDAY , June 8th, 10% of all sales from the LOVE collection will benefit the partnered organizations.

The new group of prominent ambassadors to join the 2007 endeavor includes:
Faith Hill and Tim McGraw for the Neighbor’s Keeper Foundation - chocolate brown bracelet
Djimon Hounsou for SOS Children’s Villages - deep copper bracelet
Eva Mendes for The Art of Elysium - navy bracelet
Julianne Moore for the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance - lavender bracelet
Rihanna for Believe - sea foam green bracelet
Usher for the New Look Foundation - gold bracelet
Rachel Weisz for The Constant Gardener Trust - lilac bracelet

In addition, all celebrities who participated in last year’s LOVECHARITY bracelet initiative will continue their involvement, with their bracelets available for purchase until the end of the year. They include: Rosario Dawson for YouthAIDS (red bracelet); Salma Hayek for the Salma Hayek Foundation (white bracelet); Scarlett Johansson for U.S.A. Harvest (baby pink bracelet); Spike Lee for Maurice Kanbar Institute of Film & Television/Graduate Division/Tisch School of the Arts/NYC (purple bracelet); Edward Norton for Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust (green bracelet); Sarah Jessica Parker for UNICEF (blue bracelet); Liv Tyler for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (deep pink bracelet); and Michael Stipe for Mercy Corps/Gulf Coast Recovery Fund (black bracelet).
