Les Trompe-L’Oeil de Chanel: Tattoos Never Looked So Chic
By INDIA-JEWEL JACKSON 06.09.2010 imt
Generally a fashion designer would be up-in-arms at the sight of a tattoo scribbled across a runway model’s chest, but leave it to Karl Lagerfeld and CHANEL to transform skin art into a form of stylish sophistication. During the Spring-Summer 2010 Ready-to-Wear runway show in Paris, the designer introduced Les Trompe-L’Oeil de CHANEL Temporary Skin Art. Models rocked the runway adorned in CHANEL’s temporary tattoos, composed of iconic pearls and chains symbols hand-drawn by Peter Philips, Global Creative Director of CHANEL Makeup. “I focused on a natural makeup look with chic beige tones and a slight touch of rebellion: the tattoos!” said Phillips. These artful images may be a viable option for the commitment-fearing trendy ladies, but act fast—the sale is also temporary. Les Trompe-L’Oeil de CHANEL is STILL available on Chanel.com exclusively for a limited time only! A package of 5 sheets featuring 55 designs in available for $75. xx, Lyndsay Luff Glam Editor BlogsLatest Posts |
