For the past few seasons, the manicure has become a bigger part of our beauty routine thanks to #ManiMonday tag in Instagram and now the almost endless options of shades, finishes, effects, and add-ons to make your nail art truly unique. Glam Media and some of our best digital and fashion influencers received a hands-on how to on creating crafty nail art looks with the help of nail authority Sally Hansen’s celebrity manicurist Tracy Lee to kick off The brand’s I Heart Nail Art Contest.

Each month the brand will post a new nail art challenge on its Facebook page and encourage fans and to show off their nail art skills with ingenious nail art looks for a chance to win. Monthly winners will receive $500 and a trip to the Big Apple to participate in the I Heart Nail Art Grand Finale where competitors will create nail looks on the spot! A panel of fashion and beauty experts along with nail art enthusiasts will choose the winner who will receive $200 and the title of Sally Hansen Nail Art Sweetheart.

The bloggers were invited to sip an All-American Sweetheart Martini or Mocktini as they waited their turn to choose one of five different styles, including spray-painted hearts; a black and metallic look with studs; spring flowers; a red, black, white, and gold camo print; and a spring themed, multi-colored, spray paint effect. The nail team used thin brushes to create most of the effects with the multitude of shades from the brand’s Complete Salon Manicure, Insta-Dry Fast Dry Nail Color, and even the Nail Art Pens. Once dry, the bloggers were invited to walk their fingers in front of Glam’s ManiCam, which easily became the highlight of the evening. Bloggers, and even their little ones let their tips do the talking as they instantly shared the shots on Instagram, bringing everything full circle. The bloggers even got to take the fun home with them with a selection of polishes, nail wraps, and files care of Sally Hansen housed in matching Nordstrom Beauty cosmetic cases. Glam on, ladies, glam on!
