I really am not a big Grey’s Anatomy fan. I can appreciate that other people are … but it’s just not my thing. It’s soooo depressing and suuuuch a downer. And, frankly, nobody talks the way they talk on that show. No one has professional screenwriters following them around feeding them these clichéd lines that they’re supposed to repeat over and over and over again for dramatic effect. (i.e. “He’s my person. He’s MY person. He is my PERSON. He’s my only person. My person. Mine.”)

But anyway, I watched last night because I had seen the finale and I was curious. Of course, it was no surprise that Izzie was going to live and George was going to die – that was old news  – but I wanted to see how everything would be revealed. And I was hoping to get sucked in …  And I sort of was. But an even bigger part of me wants to quit while I’m ahead. I just don’t get these characters. And it’s hard to watch a show we’re your unable to relate. They don’t seem human to me. And that’s kind of a big challenge to overcome.

I mean, I’m curious to see what’s going to happen with Seattle Grace’s downsizing. Who’s in danger of getting the boot? … What’s in the store of Izzie? (I hope she kicks Kerav to the curb – he is the worst husband in the history of medical dramas. I mean HOLD your woman for goodness sake! She’s scared! Help her! Don’t scream at her for crying about her best-friend’s death!) Will Meredith and McDreamy make it work? Will their marriage last? Is McSteamy and Lexie the real deal … or will he and Torres hook up again now that they’re neighbors?  Will Owen ‘s post-traumatic stress disorder come between his relationship with Cristina again? etc. etc.

There are so many questions that I’d like to see answered … but at the same time, it seems like quite the effort to watch for a little payoff and a whole lot of accompanying depression. What do you think? Tell me if you think it’s worth watching … Because I cannot decide!
