Winners Circle: Jennifer Lawrence, Daniel-Day Lewis and Ben Affleck Get the Gold at Oscars 2013
By Angel Lenise Robinson February 25,2013
From Charlize Theron‘s pixie cut and her enchanting dance with a fully-clothed Channing Tatum to host Seth MacFarlane‘s cheeky cracks that left no celebrity safe, last night’s 85th Academy Awards was one to remember. There was Ted’s not-so-suitable-for-work appearance alongside Mark Wahlberg (who will always be Marky Mark in our hearts), 76-year-old Shirley Bassey‘s glorious rendition of “Goldfinger” for the James Bond tribute, and even Sally Field joined in on the fun in a backstage rendezvous with the Family Guy emcee. Succinctly put, there were too many highlights from the ceremony — not to mention the red carpet — to just name a few. But the Academy left no questions asked when it came to who took home the gold, even if they tumbled upstage à la J. Law. Les Mis, Life of Pi, and a Michelle Obama-presented honor to the minds behind Argo capped off a charming awards season at the Los Angeles ceremony. That said, GLAM is taking time out during our morning cup of joe to salute last night’s big wins.
