This morning we had the opportunity to attend a live taping of The Martha Stewart Show, an event made all the sweeter by the presence of Tom Ford. Ford has been making the talk show rounds to promote his first film A Single Man. But before cutting to the chase Martha Stewart expounded on the merits of his work as a designer. “I still have all the Gucci suits you designed and I never looked better,” she gushed. Ford for his part was looking quite dapper in his staple black ensembl, paired with a crisp white shirt and matching pocket square. Aside from the content, beautiful cinematography, and award winning acting, the film’s set has been getting raved reviews and Ford had a direct hand in that as well. The designer cum writer/ producer/director lent pieces of furniture from his home and even painted some of the art work. “If youre a designer, making a film is the ultimate,” he said. “Because you’re not just designing clothes, you’re designing a world!” ~Nola Weinstein
