The Mets Bring the CFDA Up to Bat
By Bianca Posterli July 12,2012
Billy Reid, Yigal Azrouël, Scott Haan and Rogan Gregory for Loomstate, Sam Shipley and Jeff Halmos for Shipley & Halmos put their baseball (thinking) caps on in order to put a creative spin on existing Mets designs, updating t-shirts, tank tops, sweatshirts, and Henleys with their fashionable twist. As stylish as the pieces are, the CFDA designed baseball gear will be charitable too, as proceeds will benefit the Mets Foundation and the CFDA. “I’m a huge baseball fan,” said Billy Reid of his involvement. “I help coach my son’s little league team, and oddly enough our teams name this year is the Mets. Any opportunity to work with baseball and supporting the CFDA really is an honor and we are proud to be a part of it.” To toast the new collection, the Met will host the whole CFDA for a game against the Washington Nationals on July 24th. Baseball has never been more fashionable!
