Inspired by “Egypt and the early 1900s, Fall 2010 is a season of strength and allure – a play on texture and lightness and an exploration in luxurious transparencies.”

One of the most exciting things about New York Fashion Week is waiting to see what new talent will emerge. This season we are particularly eager to check out designer Jonathan Simkhai’s Fall 2010 collection; this marks the NY native’s fashion week debut. Simkhai, who is as talented as he is handsome, will show on February 11 at Michelson Studio. “My first season is about giving women the luxury that men have had for years. The collection is all about chic and stylish pieces, that are both comfortable and well tailored,” said Simkhai. “I’ve been wanting to do this collection for a long time coming, and I finally feel it’s time to share it.” And based on his menswear inspired sketch, we know we’ll be quite pleased! ~Nola Weinstein

Sure we all love a good pair of heels, but after a night walking around in sky high stilettos your feet are bound to get tired. Don’t let the pain cramp your style. Keep a pair of Footzyrolls tucked into your clutch to stay happily on your toes. These rollable and foldable flats are light and compact; plus they are weather proof and skid proof. We recommend keeping these on hand at all times to ensure chic comfort.
Available at Footzyrolls.com for $25.

We love when some of our favorite designers make an appearance on our television screens. This week Brian Reyes will have a cameo on Ugly Betty. Reyes, who follows in the footsteps of Vera Wang, Victoria Beckham, and Christian Siriano, will play himself in a fashion week scene. Tune in Wednesday at 10pm EST on ABC!

Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez looked nothing short of fierce at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards. Both artists took to the stage in sexy Versace creations. Beyonce, who won six Grammys, performed in a black Atelier mini dress made of cut out leather with a metallic enriched bustier. J. Lo presented in a silver chain mail dress with a long white chiffon overlay from the Versace Spring/ Summer 2010 collection.

Lady Gaga’s style is certainly out of this world and last night she took the alien aesthetic to a new level. Gaga brought major star power to the Grammy Awards in a custom celestial confection from Armani Privé; she wore three of Mr. Armani’s designs throughout the night. We’re sure the metallic look set off the paparazzi’s flashbulbs. Gaga has clearly crafted a new planet for herself in the style solar system.

When we saw these stunning sunglasses on Jason Wu’s Spring 2010 runway in September we couldn’t wait to get our hands on a pair. The eyewear collection, which the designer launched with Modo, consists of sunglasses and optical frames in four styles–two feminine and two unisex. Shapes includes an updated cat-eye, an oversized aviator, a quirky retro shape and a classic large frame with beveled edges. The collection will retail for $275. “The pieces combine sleek, modern finishes, which I love, with unusual materials and details,” said Wu. And after an incredible year that began with dressing the First Lady and a slew of top stars, we can’t say we’d mind seeing the world through Wu’s rose colored glasses.

Scarlett Johansson is taking it to the bedroom this season. The sultry actress is once again starring in Mango’s ads, this time for Spring/Summer 2010 Campaign. Famed photographer Mario Sorrenti shot the star in NYC. And though she looks amazing as the face of Mango, don’t expect Johansson to quit her day job. “Among my projects, I have a play on Broadway, A View From the Bridge. I am really happy, but I’m still doing rehearsals. I didn’t have time to get nervous,” she said. “I don’t know what I’ll be doing in 10 years time, I cannot imagine, I suppose I’ll still be working in film and I hope I remain in good health. ”

Michelle Obama chose a regal grape and plum confection to hear her husband, President Obama’s first State of the Union. The First Lady accessorized her dress, which was designed by Isaac Mizrahi, with a simple strand of pearls. The retro silhouette works well on her.
