On Mondays we share our ideas to help you kick-start your week!
On any given day, how many times are you asked the question: “How are you?” Do you ever remember what your answer to that question is? Do you remember what other people say when you ask them? Most people simply answer: “I’m fine” or “I’m good” without much thought. But notice how you feel when you say, “I’m fine.” Go on—say it out loud. How do you feel? So-so? Now, for a little twist, try out some new responses. For instance, how do you feel when you say, “I’m great” or, my personal favorite, “I’m fabulous!” Say it out loud and notice the difference in how you feel when you say it.
When I say, “I’m fabulous” I really do feel fabulous! This week, I invite you to commit to this simple change. So the next time someone asks, “How are you?” put a smile on your face, confidence in your voice, and say, “I’m fabulous!” You’ll quickly start to notice how much this simple change improves your mood, your interactions with others, and maybe even your entire day.
